My daughter is now 5 wks old! She such a wonderful joy to have around. Somehow I thought that once she is born all that anxiety about somehting bad happening to her though would go away.

I had the same experience with my son. The only reason I slept at all is because I had an angel monitor. I counted the days until he turned 4 months because I knew the risk of SIDS decreased dramatically at that age. Sorry you are having trouble. I know it's hard.

Hugs to you. I haven't had my rainbow baby yet, but it makes sense to me what is happening to you. I've heard and read about other angel moms going through it. Just keep reassuring yourself and checking on your daughter as often as you need to.

Robin is 10 weeks now and the worry has gotten a little better since then, but only a little. She naps in her bouncy seat next to wherever I am so I can keep an eye on her, and I don't go to bed very long after she does. Some of thatcis circumstantial, but I know I am nervous of even the thought of her eventually moving to her own room for the night.

I don't think I will rest well until Mason is at least 4 months old. I've read that most SIDS deaths occur in the first 4 months.

I have an angelcare monitor, but haven't used more than the audio part of it since Robin sleeps in her sling. My pediatrician told me she felt they were a waste of money and designed to prey on psrents' fears of SIDS, which is probably totally right since I've been unwilling to get rid of it because I'm worried about SIDS. I haven't had a chance to test the sensor portion with Robin and am curious if it works well.
