Hi Everyone!  It's been a busy summer - I was traveling and got promoted to a new position (yikes!) but I'm trying to get organized again.  Early fall does that to me - at least for a week or so :smileyhappy:

I know there are some new members and also some old friends coming back.  Can we do a quick check in and see who's around?  Even if you just read and don't post frequently, just say hi so we know you're here with us.

hi! i have only been on here a few day

name/age: holly/32

in feb i found out i was pregnant w/ twins.  after 8 weeks, i found out i lost 1 to vanishing twin.  the twin was absorbed by my body by about 20 weeks.  the surviving twin was carried to 34 weeks.  i went to the dr for decreased fetal activity.  they found that riley didn't have a heartbeat.  i delivered my daughter on 9/26/12 stillborn.  my  we named the first twin "erin" since we didn't know if it was a boy or a girl.  we are currently waiting for my postpartum check on oct 19 before we start ttc.  i know it has only been almost 2 weeks since we lost riley, but we both want a physical baby to hold.  we know we are riley's mommy and daddy, and that she is our angel.  she is the first thing i think of when i wake up, and she is the last thing i think of when i go to bed.  thank you for welcoming me.  i am honored to be in the company of so many strong women.

Name: Derika/32

Children: Nathan (6) and Drew (4), and our 3rd son Caleb (3.21.12) We lost him due to a knot in the umbilitcal cord at 5mos.

We have a crazy busy life with 2 very active boys and a husband who travels a lot, and new little puppy Bailey. We were not TTC, and using BC, but found out we are 8weeks pregnant with number 4.

I loved the information for the dr. I had my first apt and saw my np, and she tried to assure me they'd take care of me, but did say I would not be considered high risk, as another ubilical cord accident would be rare. I'm not so sure....and loved the list of questions! I was so emotional that first apt last week, I couldn't even talk let along think in a complete sentence. I go back in 4 days for an ultrasound.

Physically I am sick (which is eerily comforting). Emotionally I am a wreck! HELP!! I need to hear from women who understand what I'm going thru. My friends/hubby just don't quite get it (and I have some really awesome friends - hubby too)

Fall is here, and it's my favorite season. Trying to breath in the beauty around and trust God each minute of the day!

Hi Amanda!

Welcome to the group.  Wow, you've had a rough go of it thus far.  I am so sorry about the passing of all three of your little ones.  I truly hope that this time is different and I know that the anxiety can be so difficult to get through.

We are here for you and happy to talk/answer any questions that you have.  A subsequent pregnancy after a stillbirth plus your history is no doubt very stressful.  I hope that you were able to enjoy that trip to the rockies!

I was the same way about taking it one trip to the bathroom at a time - in my first 14 weeks of my pregnancy with my son Andy (my first pg after my son Luke was stillborn) I went to the bathroom constantly to check for bleeding.  It was like I had OCD or something.

Wishing you the best.  Please keep us posted as to how you're doing.  Big hugs.

I just realized that I never answered my own roll call!  Whoops.

Name/Age: Terri/31

Tell us about your family, children, living and deceased: My husband and I have been married for 9 years.  We have three boys, Luke (our oldest) in heaven since April 10 2007, Andy who is 4.5 and Jude who will be 2 in 2 weeks!  We also have a cat named Laci and a few sets of loving but crazy grandparents, among others.

Pregnant/TTC/Parenting/Other? Share as much as you like.  Parenting my guys and watching them grow.  Dh would love another baby but we need to wait awhile.

What questions do you have that you are eager to here answers to? Ask anything.

How are you doing, physically and emotionally?  It has been an emotionally draining week for our family.  Our nephew (my dh's stepbrother and his wife) died last week and it's been really difficult for all of us.

What are you most excited about for end of summer/early fall?  I LOVE fall cooking.  And I just bought a dark red blazer.  Yay!

Please share!!

Hi Elizabeth! Thanks for posting. I disagree with your dr - I don't think you "have" to do anything in terms of reflecting on your perfect pg or not. A subsequent pg is really difficult - there are some things you can do to make it easier but it's a long haul, and one that is well worth it. We'll be here for ya! Enjoy your beach vacay!
