Here's a funny story I thought I would share:

Many of you know we struggled to get Sanjay to poop on the potty.

Reena -

What a tail! (pun intended) Hope Nemo II does better in his new home.

I didn't even think about bringing something like a goldfish home for Marcus. We did the same type of "star" chart at our house for Marcus. But Marcus wasn't interested in earning it until we had the actual prize in the house. We bought him a new train for his Geotrax system. I thought I was buying one for the regular price and it was on sale for a few dollars. The day after he earned the train, Marcus said he needed a diaper to go poop and I told him I would have to take his train away. I think he only had one poop in the diaper at nighttime since that time.

We've already talked about death several times with our kids. My parent's dog died last summer and I had a co-worker die this spring. I never thought this was a topic that would come up at such an early age.

Reena,

LOL!(and yes Heather, I laughed out loud, you can tell Rob ;-) )

That is so funny. Good thing Sanjay is still young enough to not be wise to your antics. You are going to have to have a secret tank in the house somewhere with 10 Nemos just in case. I think goldfish have a short shelf life. But, your doctor scheme seems to work so I think you can use it again when he time comes.

Good idea about the goldfish.

Reena I'm a little surprised at you. Your being a mental health professional I would've expected you to be honest with Sanjay. He needs to understand that he killed the fish because he didn't keep his room clean enough. Please do a better job next time Mom!

LOL!

That is a fantastic story! We never thought about rewarding with a fish! What a great idea and even better that Nemo is at the "fish doctor."

Hopefully, Nemo II is close to Nemo I. Keep us posted!

I'm filing that one away, too. LOL. That's what you call thinking on your feet, Reena. Long live Nemo II.
