oh goodness were doing better she has a pretty predictable schedule at 7 weeks. shes been going down around 12am sleeping till around 530 or 6 eats goes back to bed till 10am. she takes a cat nap in the am and a 3 1/2 hr nap around 2pm. if i could only get her do go down a little earlier. but my pediatrician says im lucky at her age and being breast fed ti get a long stretch at night and a predictable schedule. any suggestions?

Hi!

I just wanted to check in and see how everything is going. Has your DD started sleeping better? How are you doing? I know how tough the first months are...please let us know if you need anything :)

Madeline was almost the exact same way. Would only fall asleep on me and would only sleep in her crib for a bit after an hour ritual of bouncing. She HATED her swing. She tolerated her bouncy but would never sleep in it.

One thing that worked for us was the Halo Sleep Sacks with swaddle wrap. I couldn't swaddle her myself, so these were really easy with velcro. The tightness seemed to soothe her and brought us many hours of sleep :). However, the sleeping on mommy still continued until about 4-5 months or so.

My advice: get a sleep sack and try it. But, try and enjoy the cuddle time with her now. I was frustrated too when Madeline was doing it, but I miss the days of her sleeping and snuggling on me because she won't do it anymore. DVR some good TV shows, rent some movies, and relax with your LO. This phase will be over before you know it.

((HUGS)) to you and I hope you get some sleep and relief soon! :)

My DD was the same way. She LOVED to sleep on me. I loved it too. I think that at 4 weeks you do what you can to get through each day! LOL!
