Jake wants to give Daddy a wagon for Father's Day and he's looking for recommendations.

Hi Cathy, my husband is the type to buy strollers and gadgets that only men would like. Like titanium nubby wheeled, man colored doodads only found in an REI catalogue. Total poseur, but I love him. He bought such a wagon recently. A Radio Flyer with nubby wheels and removable sides. THIS is a man's wagon LOL. We live in an urban setting with same broken sidewalks, and winos to negotiate. This wagon is a BADASS!

Hi there,

Nicholas LOVES, LOVES, LOVES his wagon!!! We take it on cedar chip trails, uneven sidewalks, you name it. It's very sturdy and even though it's plastic, the color has not faded (although, we don't leave it outside).

I don't think you can go wrong with a Radio Flyer wagon.

We have this one, Cathy: http://radioflyer.com/atw/atw_29.html

You can also buy a padding kit for it. We used it from about 8-11mo, then he started standing up in it (no seatbelts), so we've put it away for now. I'm sure we'll break it out again when he has a better understand of sitting down or he wants to pull it around himself. It does well on our gravel roads here, as well as pavement and concrete. I think Marie has the same model and uses it on the sand, since she lives at the beach.

It's really sturdy. When Aaron's completely outgrown it, I'll use it for another 20 years around the yard to haul garden stuff.
