August chit chat!

Peanut- how did your DH do w/ the shopping? That's great you are still walking every day. I know by the time you are close to the 3rd trimester walking gets ruff. I have been walking daily too. trying to eat as clean as possible. last pregnancy I put on about 50 lbs and did not lose all of it so I am trying to be good.

Can you all believe its August already? Time seems to be flying by!!!! Hope your all feeling well. I *think* I am starting to feel a little better. more like myself again. I haven't taken the zofran in a day and a 1/2 (a big deal for me) and I have only gagged, no vomit! so fingers crossed.......

Saturday night I started to feel the little bubbley feeling that is the baby moving. Then around 11:30 pm I KNOW for a fact it was the baby. very definite movement. I was so happy and excited! But now nothing since. I know I shouldn't worry but I can't help it. I can't remember when I started to feel daily movement w/ DD. Am I suppose to now that I have already felt it? Or did I just get lucky? eerrrr.......

Hi!

It seems really early for movement...with my DD, I first felt her for sure at 16 weeks and then not again until 18 and after that it was fairly consistent. I wouldn't worry at all...you were probably just in the right position. I hope you feel it again soon!

I'm having fun keeping track of everyone....so happy everyone seems to be doing well.

AFM- I am trying to figure out when to try again. I started seeing a new accupuncturist and am going to try her out for about 3 months...she thinks she can help my egg quality, so I thought I might as well give it a try. But there's a couple of things that I'm waiting on to decide when to try...our house is on the market and I really want to wait until it either sells and we move, or until we decide to take it off the market for awhile. That really was stressing me out this last time, I believe. Also, my SIL is going to get engaged any second now and I want to wait until I know when her wedding will be next summer....if we do IVF in Nov, I'd be due in July and that might make traveling 9 hours by car to her wedding difficult at any time next summer. We also have my DH's best friend's wedding beginning of next Sept. I know it's probably silly to try and plan around all of that, but those kinds of things stress me out and I want to have this cycle be as de-stressed as possible. So part of me thinks maybe we should just wait until January (due Oct.) so that we'd have time next summer to travel/for weddings and hopefully move by then. But the other part of me really wants to just get on with it and go for it again.

Any advice?

My DH did an awesome job getting the groceries AND all the school supplies. Hey, when he offers to help, I jump at the chance (well, not literally jump). I'm going to try and keep up with the walking until my legs or some other body part just gives out - lol. I go to doc next week so we'll see how much I've gained. Sometimes, I feel like I don't eat enough because of this GD, but I seem to be gaining.

havinfaith - glad you are starting to feel better and more like yourself. In the beginning when you first start feeling movement, it does come and go. At least for me in the beginning, the baby moving was sporatic. The worrying never stops, does it...

Trr16 - So sorry about your loss. That's a tough one on when to start TTC. My feeling is there will never be a 'perfect' time because something always comes up. So my advise would be just to go with your gut. If you feel ready, then go for it. If you don't feel quite ready, then wait. I hope the accupucnture helps your eggies and helps you to destress:)

Going for a much needed haircut this afternoon! It's hot and my hair is too long!

Havinfaith- I didn't feel movement last time until pretty late, I wouldn't worry at all- it sounds like you were just lucky enough to catch some movement early.

Holy Moly it's HOT! Uggghhh, it hit 112 today and it's supposed to be worse tomorrow. Apparently the heat, the exhuaustion and the nausea made me a little hostile because I yelled at a random stranger in the grocery store parking lot which is so unlike me :smileymad: I was trying to find a parking spot and was going down an aisle that allowed traffic to go in both directions. There was a spot up ahead and just as I was getting ready to pull in some guy going the opposite direction made a u-turn right in front of me and took the spot. It was a total Fried Green Tomatoes moment! I jumped out and yelled "Don't worry about me, I'm pregnant and hauling a toddler around but don't worry I'm sure your fat (rear end) needed that spot more!" He looked at me like I was a crazy hormonal freak and walked away. I so need a nap!

Havinfaith- How exciting!!! I can't wait to feel these little ones kicking around!

Trr- Planning our cycles is the one "perk" that I can find with the whole IVF process. If you're okay with waiting and it fits your schedule better, go for it!

Peanut- sometimes daddys don't know what they're getting themselves into when they offer help!

Lauren,

OMG - that story is too funny... I can just visualize that moment! I went to my son's kindergarten orientation, and showed up late. So when I arrived there was no more seats so I had to stand. There were many moms and dads there and NOT one of them offered me a chair. After 5 min., I was pissed, made some huffing noises and left. As I was leaving, the teacher asked, "is everything okay", I replied 'obviously not, I'm pregnant and can't stand for an hour, maybe you need to review manners with these parents'. I know not so great impression I made on the teacher or the other parents, but I wa MAD!

Hopefully, a little cooler here for us today - 88 or so. Off to swim lessons shortly.

Everyone have a Great Day!

Chris, I hear ya about the heat! Yesterday, it was 88 outside and awwww, it was so nice:) Although, get this, the kids complained it was cold! Glad Jake is growing nicely. Looks like he may be a Big boy:) My LO is in the 80% for weight, as well. Wow, can't believe you haven't gained any weight. You go Girl!

Caryn - I love Portland! We used to live in Seattle so had many a trips to the Portland area. Airplanes with kiddos under 2 is a challenge because truly you must entertain them the whole time OR hope they fall asleep for part of the trip. DVD's, lots o snacks, favorite toys, are all you can do and of course, hope for the best;)

Nlhousewifey - A getaway alone with your DH. Oh, I am so jealous.. Hope you have a Great time.

AFM - Kitty is doing fine, haircut turned out okay (a little shorter than I wanted). Officially, in the 3rd trimester and YES, I can still see my toes - lol.

Caryn~ Good luck on the trip! We flew with B when she was 13 months and it went much better than expected. Will DH be with you? It really helps to have someone else there too, but if you're alone, you can do it! Remember that the flight will eventually end, and if she cries/fusses, oh well. Try not to worry about everyone else on the plane...they will be fine if they hear her cry a little. But with our flight, I brought some new snacks and a few brand new toys and that kept her occupied the whole time. Anything new is fun :). GL!

Also, I am doing the DHEA now. Dr. B didn't know if it would help because my levels from my bloodwork are all good, bu thought he'd give it a try. So I'll be on that for however long until our next cycle. I think right now we are leaning toward November...then I think, I could be about to have a baby this time next year :). Hopefully!!
