With my first protocol, I only had 2 so they cancelled me.

Hi!
I just wanted to jump in and wish you good luck! The number of follies is not correlated to whether or not you will get PG--it is the quality of the fertlized egg. So, while we would all have a lot of follies to choose from to transfer, it only takes one food fertilized embie to take and become PG. So, while it make be disappointing to have a low number of follies, you may have some really good eggs in there--don't get discouraged if that's the case.

Are you in a cycle now?

thanks I needed that. I trigger tonight! (eek!) My estrogen is plateauing. I had hoped to keep 'em cookin' a little while longer. so I only have 1 or 2 that will be in the 20 range the other 2 are in the teens. I'm not all that optimistic. At 42 quality is likely also a problem. But who knows?! This will be the first time my little eggies get to try the petri dish tango.

Just an update...ER today. 3 retrieved. Hoping ICSI does the trick for fertilization. I'll know more tomorrow. FX

I know this isn't really meant for this board but you were so kind to give me hope, I thought I'd continue to update. Plus I want to dance around and tell everyone I can: Trying not to get overly excited. Of the 3 retrieved, 2 were mature and were injected. They fertilized! And the 3rd one matured overnight (which I didn't even know could happen) . It was injected and fertilized too! Maybe none of them will grow but maybe they will. I'm so excited to have made it to this stage. IF they keep going, Wednesday late morning will be my transfer. ...too late, I'm overly excited. ;) -Pix

You were right! Low follie count isn't a worst case scenario! We transferred all three! 2 eights and 1 seven. Now I wait!
