I kind of fell of the QOTW wagon since it's seemed so quiet here.  I find myself trying to pass the time until my FET can begin so help a sister out and lets chat about something fun =)

What do you love the most about the summer?

I live in the north/east so I love almost everything about the summer! For starters just being able to have all the windows open all the time! I love the warm weather (hate how humid it gets though)...boating, being outside 80% of the time, the beach, sundresses, my flower gardens, buying fresh produce from the local farmers market, cute swim suits for my girls:smileyhappy: you name it!

You all brought up so many fun summer things! I live in CO so summer is really the only time we can count on short sleeves, flip flops and no jackets =) Lately we've been enjoying mornings on the porch...Kylie has taken to running laps on it before school. A little morning exercise isn't a bad thing but the funny thing is that she has my DH and even our dog run with her =)

Headed out today for a little 4 day vacay to visit family, see you girls Monday!

I love being outside, though the heat has put a damper on that..   Jake loves to be outside too so we sit out on the porch alot.  its funny because he can be really cranky and then we take  him outside and he is fine.    I love being in a pool, though don't get much of that.  Float trips, camping, and BBQ's.     Oh and my birthday is in the summer so what is not to like about that.    I need to do more farmers markets and stuff like that.  In a few years when kiddos are bigger think I might try and small vegtable garden.  Love fresh tomoatoes.

Chris ~

I hear ya on the heat...it's been brutal! Usually the heat starts tapering off by the end of Aug here and I can't wait. We have been such slackers and haven't taken our DD to a real pool or lake yet...how sad is that?! We have a hot tub in our house that we turn down in temp during the summer and she calls that a pool. Not sure it counts but I suppose it will do for now. Have you ever grown tomatoes in pots? We grow roma and cherry tomatoes on the patio in pots and they do great...super easy and I love fresh tomatoes too.

The trip was really good. We have a nice visit with my aunt and uncle and they got to know K some. They hadn't seen her since she was 6 months old so they of course were amazed with all the changes. She was very agreeable the whole trip - she slept and ate well. We went to a super fun park to feed the ducks and play in some fountains that simulated the 7 canyons that come into SLC. She loved it and played there on two different days. We also took her to an indoor amusement ride place that was really fun. Overall a very fun trip. I still say that traveling with a toddler is hard work though =) Here's a pic of her playing in the water at the park...
