Knock on wood, I've not had dental issues while pregnant.

I was doing some reading on it (http://www.americanpregnancy.org/pregnancyhealth/dentalwork.html), and x-rays seem to be ok. They put that lead blanket on you anyway, and, I think most offices have two, so you could double-up. Maybe instead of long-ways, put both on sideways and have overlap on your belly.

Any real issue would come from treatment involving anethesia of any sort. How long do you think you'll carry the triplets? I'd say if you're lucky you have maybe 15 weeks left, right? That's an awful long time to be in pain. I think you definitely need to get in and get checked out. An infection seems like it would cause more problems than the lowest dose of anesthesia.

I'd be worried, too, though. I'd speak to the OB about pain management, but since we can take pain relievers during pregnancy (non-narcotic kinds anyway), I'd wager you'd be safe with Tylenol or Motrin. I'd stay away from anything containing aspirin (I think NSAIDS are not recommended during pregnancy, but don't quote me).

Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks for doing the checking Brie

I lost a filling in this tooth and I had called them about it but they mentioned the Xray, novacaine and High Risk and suggested I might want to wait.

Twice in pregnancies I've had tooth issues.
