Our's is planned (not very good planning, tho! :smileyvery-happy:)

DF & I got engaged, last May & planned our wedding date for March 17....we both knew we wanted to 'try' to have a child. BUT, wasn't 100% sure it would happen, or if it did happen, chances of a mc?

Kiki (hit my magic age of 45 and no longer TTC),but mom to a beautiful teen DD & 2 angels in heaven & married to my best friend

Well, we were done with #1, but when he was 3, he begged for a baby sister. So we decided to try.

We tried for 1 to 1.5 years, and it didn't happen (had a m/c at 6 weeks last year). So this summer, we gave away the last of the baby things we'd kept (crib and play pen). And, here we are.

I had my ultrasound on Friday, due date 7/7/11. I am still being cautiously optimistic and trying really hard to not tell anyone. I still know there is a risk of m/c and genetic defects. I have an amnio scheduled in January, so we'll see if I can keep it quiet until then.

Thank you!!!

Just to update and not leave anyone reading hanging - I had an ultrasound today at 10 1/2 weeks and the baby passed away aound 8 weeks. I have to admit even though he/she was a surprise and this is definitely not a "good time" in my life, I honestly was holding my breath and hoping I would be able to hold this baby. The wierdest thing happened 2 weeks ago when my 6 year with down syndrome woke up one morning and told me that the baby was with Jesus. Now he doesn't talk about Jesus and I only pray sometimes at night and sometimes at mealtimes (shame on me!) and I don't think he understands pregnancy. So if he's right I'm thankful I had the privledge to be this baby's mommy for these few weeks and he/she is in heaven with Jesus! And
