Weekend shocker-Pregnant at 43!

This weekend as I was making my grocery list, I was putting "pads" on it as I knew the time was coming up. Then I actually started thinking about it and realized that it was past time...a week or so past. So I added "test" to the list. I have to say I was a little shocked and still am that the test was positive.

My husband is ecstatic...me a little less. But I am sure as I go along I will get moreso. I am stressed out about money, etc. I guess it will all work out :)

I have 3 daughters-20, 14 and 2. We had tried for a year after my 2 year old was born, then I pretty much gave up deciding that I was too old. Hoping for a boy this time but will take healthy over anything!

I was planning on starting a diet today. Ugh I feel so fat, I am going to try super hard to eat healthy and not gain more than I need to.

Congrats & welcome!

I'm 41 (with children who are 19, 15, and 11) and we thought we were through, so I was really shocked as well. I'd had some spotting right around when I thought I should start my period, then a couple days later I checked my berry (where I keep track of my cycles with an app) and discovered that I was waaaay late. Took the test, came up + pretty quickly, and then I told hubby by sending him an email with a pic of the +HPT. A text would have been too impersonal. LMBO!

Anyhoo, we're glad you're here and wish you a H&H pregnancy!

Well, I certainly believe in miracles, Kiki. :) I hope it happens again for you soon and that all goes well!

Hey, we're in TX, too. Live in Katy, just outside of Houston. Just moved here in June. :)

Funny, one of my best friends from the Navy grew up in Katy, Texas (was in HS with Renee Zellweger). And my old boss just moved to Dallas. And I have another Navy friend in Dallas.
