1st u/s results :-)

I was so nervous I took forever undressing and was walking to the table when the RE walked in, LOL! He grabbed the paper sheet and said, "Let me help cover you", and that made me laugh. Like you're not going to see everything in about 2 seconds anyway? So in went the wand and he said, "You have a beautiful baby in there!" DH was at my side, holding my hand and looking intently at the screen. The RE then said he could see the hb!! DH pointed it out to me. Oh, what a beautiful little sight! The RE said it was too early to hear the hb. Next time maybe. My next appointment is in 2 weeks. The RE said he will be following me closely during the 1st T and that it won't be until the 2nd that he'll release me to the OB. I expected that. The RE left after giving us a picture. DH and I just hugged and hugged. Eventually the nurse knocked on the door and asked if we were ok. Opps, time to get moving. LOL.

The picture said EDD 3/8/12 and GA of 7w1d +/- 4d but I think I'll stick with my ticker right now. The CRL was 1.05cm. DH was a big baby and true the measurements are flexible, I think it's kind of cute that the baby might be taking after DH so far. Ha, but I would prefer that it doesn't match DH's birthweight of 11 pounds and length of 23 inches. I think DH was about 3 weeks overdue, but still....yowww!

The RE did mark on the paperwork high-risk, so I guess it's offical. It comes as no surprise given my uterus. It does mean delivering at the hospital I want so I am happy about that. Funny insurance would only treat it as in-network if I am high-risk even though it is in the same system as the in-network not high-risk hospital. Go figure. How about that? Something that seems uggish is actually good!

So, overall...very good appointment. Thank you so much for your wonderful P&PTs. It really helped knowing I had all those good vibes.

You gave me goosebumps! Not to mention tears in my eyes. I was so excited to see the smiley face in the title because that made me more eager to read your update. I am so sincerely happy for you and DH...and if your been takes after DH I'm sure you won't mind. ;-) ::happy dance::
