So I was scheduled for an u/s on Thursday to see what was going on, but I woke up this morning with horrible lower back pain.  They squeezed me in today.  The good news is that the pain seems to be from a large cyst on my right ovary.  I am still not sure about what will happen with this pregnancy though.  I am trying not to worry, but it's hard not to after 2 years and 8 miscarriages.  My numbers went from 2373 to 6854 in 5 days.  I was initially disappointed, but then I realized that it's a doubling time of 77 hrs and with the range of values I am in, anything between 72-96 hrs is normal.  I saw on my chart that things were measuring 5w 1d, which makes me nervous, but in the same sense, my numbers weren't going up fast in the beginning so I am trying to have faith.  The gestational sac was larger at 10.9 up from 6.6.  The yolk was also larger and she said that the whole thing was more pronounced.  She didn't see the baby yet though or a HB.  I have to go back in a week for another u/s.  It's going to be a long week...  I am hoping everything will still work out, but I was praying to see more.  I felt pretty pleased with what we saw until the dr came in and gave a speech about my numbers not going up appropriately and that it can still be normal in 10% of pregnancies (he was out of town for the past two weeks).  Anyway, praying everything will turn out okay.  What have others seen at an early 6w u/s?

I've never had an early ultrasound, so I can't answer that.  I can tell you that these babies are individuals from the start.  The medical profession tries to act like they are clones that will all act the same, but they aren't.  Sending you all the sticky baby dust I can muster.

You know with Charlotte my numbers were way low to begin so I don't put much stock in the numbers. Like PP said each one is different. Sending lots of sticky baby dust your way.
