Kelly,

I am so sorry for the loss of Baby B. I went through the exact same thing with my pregnancy. We were told that we were having twins, and at my 7/8 week appointment, we were told that Baby B had stopped growing. Like you, I had been totally overwhelmed by the prospect of having twins but was absolutely devastated by the news that we had lost one. I had already begun to plan my life as the mother of multiples and was getting excited!

I am now 15 weeks pregnant, and the sac that held Baby B is just about reabsorbed. It hung around for a lot longer than I thought!

I will always hold that little baby, though only 7/8 weeks along, dear to my heart and wonder what it would have been like to be the mother of multiples. It bugged me that the people who knew about the twins (only a few close family members) kept telling me to focus on our other baby, but it was super important for me to take the time for myself to grieve the baby's loss, and now I am focusing on healthy Baby A.

I wish you the best of luck with your pregnancy and am sending you BIG hugs. Allow yourself the time that you need to grieve the loss of your precious LO. My thoughts are with you.

Oh Kelly, I'm so, so sorry hunny. :( I feel horrible for you. I know the vanishing twin syndrome is pretty common, but it isn't any easier when it happens to you.

But.......it sounds like your other LO is doing great and hope he/she continues to grow beautifully.

Kelly - thank you SO MUCH for sharing that with me. I am so happy to hear that your other twin is doing well and the pregnancy is going well. I know I will always be a little sad at losing Baby B, but am hoping for a healthy Baby A in March.

and thank you everyone else too for your support. Much appreciated, as always.

Kelly, I'm so sorry. I'm sending you tons of {{{HUGS}}}} and sympathy. I hope you're able to get through this without a lot of depression, and are able to enjoy the baby who's still with you.

I'm so glad that Baby A is doing well, and measuring right on time. S/he will be a true blessing for you.
