Dani, I hope this doesn't come off as crass or anything and if it does, blame it on the hormones, k?

I know PAL brain makes us do crazy things but I just don't understand how no m/s concerns you and then having m/s concerns you. I hate to say it but with everything you have tried to get pg, wouldn't the m/s be welcomed and taken in stride. I understand the loss of weight. I lost quite a bit with DS2 and this one but there are things they can do for it.

You really need to take a step back and enjoy this time. No matter what happens. You are not puking now so worrying about losing weight because of it is just putting added stress on you and the baby.

Most of my m/s was nausea and food aversions, and I threw up only 3 times. I was so concerned about weight loss because even though I wasn't throwing up all the time I couldn't even bring food to my mouth. (Not to mention the heartburn!) I lost 5lbs and felt like I wasn't giving my babies enough, despite reassurance from doc that it was fine. For most, this passes and you'll be able to eat and gain weight and feel a bit more in control (if that's ever possible with PAL brain!) I didn't start gaining until the 2T and then I packed it on. :-)

A friend of mine had hyperemesis and lost about 15lb in the 1st trimester...she was only 120lb to start with and about 5'6'' so apparantly looked really gaunt by the end of that 1st trimester!

I'm not complaining....believe me, I'm taking this in stride and very thankful for this pg....you have no idea. I've lost 3 babies in a year and half....I have a right to be a bit nervous. I've never lost so much weigh in such a short amount of time.

It's ok girls, let's remember we're all full of pregnancy hormones and it's ok that some need to vent about it - that's what we're here for.

We've gotta support each other through our ups and downs, that's what PAL girls do. We worry about ourselves and we pick each other up when we're down.

I'm sorry you feel so bad Dani, I don't know whether to hope it gets better for you or not cuz if it gets better, you'll be worrying more!!! So I'm hoping for whatever you are hoping for to make you feel a bit more at ease.

The first tri is FULL of wonder and worry, I hope it gets better for you soon so you can enjoy this pregnancy... the stress is not good, but I know it will always be there.

Awe not fun! I threw up 3 times a day with my daughter until week 14. It. Totally. Sucks. The good thing is baby is SO small at this point they really don't need a lot and whatever they do need, they take from you. So you may be deprived but baby will be fine ;) I would ask if there is a stronger zofran. Mine are 8mg and help more than the 4mg did last time. (((hugs))) it will get better!
