hi all
i am just back from hospital. i was admited due to the sickness. i have hyperemesis again :smileysad: as well as a bad water infection.
i have also had an emergency scan done. they took some bloods off me and my hormone levels are through the roof. i should be around the 10,000 mark at 6 weeks. and i am 30,506. this is why i had to have an emergency scan. they said usualy when they are this high there is a problem.
i managed to see a tiny heart beat, but not much else to be honest. the lady who did my scan says all looks well at this stage. i will be scanned again in a few weeks.
the doctor says with all the hormones in me he is not surprised im sick as a dog. i am now on 2 different sorts of tablets to try to control the sickness (im still sick but not as much) oh and anti biotics to treat the infection.
fingers crossed all will be well.
I'm pleased everythin looked good on the scan, and there was defo just one LO in there? I hope you feel better soon, once that water infection clears up should made a difference *hugs*
Oh how miserable, I've had hyperemesis with 3 pregnancies and it's so awful :( Hope the meds will help take the edge off and the high hormone levels turn out to be nothing but an extra healthy baby. Glad the hb and scan looked good though... hang in there!
hi all
thanks so much for your support
cutewife, how did you cope? im an emotional wreck at the moment. sick and tired of being best friends with the toilet bowl!
the tablets have made a difference, ive only been sick 6 times today. feel sick 24/7 though.
ive tried sea bands, ginger biscuits eating little and often (easier said than done)
For at least 4 months I was too sick to even watch tv or read in bed and that was the worst, nothing to distract me. I tried to sleep as much as I possibly could and then have crackers or soda by the bed to nibble on without getting up. I know the throwing up gets really old...I could never eat something more than once because I was sick so often! I tried all the remedies too... I am still on zofran at 38 wks, which is the only thing that finally helped me keep liquids down. hopefully if you're at least able to keep something down with the new meds, that's an improvement. ((hugs)) it will get better eventually!
P&PT that you start feeling better soon.
