I went to my midwife appt on Tuesday and she couldn't find a heartbeat with the doppler. So we went to the ultrasound room to get a look, and we couldn't find baby at first. My placenta looked like it was full of swiss cheese. Finally we found baby, but there was no heartbeat and no movement. So she sent me to the hospital.
I got assessed by another doctor there who said that it looked like I had a molar pregnancy, but that I would have to get a formal ultrasound in the morning. So we got admitted and just waited. Finally late the next morning we were able to get the formal ultrasound. Once the ultrasound was over, the ultrasound tech said she had to go get the doctors and came back in with 4 OB's/residents (teaching hospital). At first they weren't sure if the problem was my placenta or inside my placenta, but the ultrasound comfirmed that it was inside my placenta and that I had a partial molar pregnancy.
