Another long wait and uneventful appt.

Had Dr appt yesterday. I went in early because they have a new office and I did not want to be stressed finding it. (found out it was right next to their old building but address were on different streets) and Dr got called away with at least two deliveries. The waiting room was standing room only at one point. I waited 2 1/2 hours arg.

I was so glad to have Dr confirm that all was great on U/S not medical issue or marker detected. I did not come right out and ask the tech that and she had said several times that baby was big and looking good but I was still worried as after the fact it seemed like those comment were early on in the scan and she did not give an all clear at the end. So with my age and the fact that I had turned down all the other test I was still a little worried that we might be dealing with a medical problem or downs. I was glad to finally hear that at least for now both are dismissed. I know it still not guarantee as a lady from our homeschooling group just had a Downs baby and they did not detect that on her U/S but we will cross that bridge if we come to it.

Sorry you had to wait so long but sounds like it was worth it! So far so good!

It is frustrating when they are on-call isn't it? One of the schedulers is good at telling me when my OB is on-call and so I grab the earliest appt as I've been stuck like you have as well (but not as long and gave in to see one of her partners the last time)!

Sounds like a great appointment anyway. I know that worry about DS, we were told we have 1 soft marker, but opted out of further testing (did not do any early b/w or amnio) too. I'm 34, so a bit younger than you, but age doesn't always matter either.

Take care and hope next month is not as time consuming for you!

Awwe laura.. If nothi g has been noticed on ultrasound and they said everything looks good. I would definitly just take the time to focus on having your healthy LO. I dont think age always matters as there are plenty of moms and even celebrities for that matter that have kids and they turn out fine. You are in my thoughts =]

And i hope you can ease some stress off your plate as you are feeling LO moving more frequently now and you can enjoy it =]
