Help, still vomiting...

I feel like I'm just whining, but I am so tired of vomiting. I am now 17 weeks 3 days and still vomiting a couple times a day. I weigh 10 lbs less than I did when I got pregnant and feel miserable. I am constantly at least mildly dehydrated and bought concealor for under my eyes so everyone stops telling me that I look pale, dry, and tired. I feel like I'm neglecting my 4 year old because I don't have the energy to play or cook or anything. I have tried all the basic stuff like lemons and ginger, small meals, benadryl, etc, and have been on zofran and reglan and still am vomiting. What I eat or don't eat doesn't seem to have the slightest effect on whether or not I keep it down. My midwife said she doesn't care if I eat as long as I am drinking, so I am trying to stay hydrated but am finding it is impossible to drink enough to get more hydrated than I am and I'm lucky if I am not getting more dehydrated. Her only answer is to admit me to the hospital for fluids, but I am trying very hard not to end up there. She said as long as I don't lose 10% of my pre-pregnancy body weight she doesn't have to admit me. So I am trying very hard not to lose more weight (I've lost 3 lbs in the

((Hugs)) I have been there with 3 out of 4 of my pregnancies and it is SO HARD. It's hard not to complain about it because it literally does take over your life. I am still taking zofran now in my 9th month, otherwise I am randomly throwing up all the time, but still it doesn't help much with my nausea. I have ended up going in twice for iv hydration and I must say I felt much better afterwards, but like you I try to avoid it if possible.

I've found I can drink Odwalla smoothies on my really sick days (anything I don't have to make myself) so I will have Dh pick up a few different flavors of those for me. They are packed with nutrients you need.

Don't feel guilty about not being a good mom right now... I've been through that too and you just have to do what it takes to survive sometimes. I have not been able to be the mom I want to be these last 8 months, but it IS temporary, just take it one day at a time, you'll get through this! For me the vomiting lessons up a bit in the 3rd tri, hope it does for you too. hang in there!

I am sorry you are so sick at 17 weeks. I am 12w5d and my m/s is starting to fade. Today is the 4th day of not throwing up (crossing fingers). I still have twinges of feeling queasy . With that said, my sister is 17w5d and still throwing up. It is interesting how each person / pregnancy is different. I hope you get some relief soon. I know it really really sucks.
