I'm 22 weeks now and when I just went to the bathroom I had a big ball of what looks like gel come out (SORRY for TMI).  Im nervous because I've already been getting braxton hicks contractions which my doctor said was perfectly fine the other day, and im nervous about going into early labor. Has anyone else had big clumps of (whatever) this gelly stuff might be this early?

I had a lot of mucus throughout my pregnancy this time.  I've heard your mucus plug will continue to regenerate as needed.  The BH are supposed to happen throughout all pregnancies.  Suppopsedly the times that they aren't felt just means that the mother misidentifies them as baby movement.  Try to relax.  I know it's difficult, but that's the best way to ward off preterm labor, IMHO.  KUP.

Thank you!... I ended up calling the on call doctor last night and she told me to come in to labor and delivery so i did. Everything looked great they said they hooked me up to a contraction monitor and listened to the baby.  They also made sure my cervix was still closed (which was my biggest worry) and all is well.  Of course I didnt feel the baby much all day yesterday and the minute they hooked me up to the monitors the baby started kicking away... lol. Its like the baby was trying to kick the monitor off. I'm glad I went in to make sure, it made me feel a whole lot better.
