So I called the doc to see if I could get in there. I think I have a YI again, will be my 3rd this pregnancy, but I wanted to make sure cause I also kinda feel swollen and irritated down there. The nurse just said use monistat. I see my doc next Monday. But is it normal to keep getting these, my last was like 3 weeks ago. I'm scared cause last time I was scratching so much and had that spotting scare. I'm not doing the things they tell you not to. My pants are not too tight, I'm not in a wet bathing suit and I dry after showers. Is it just hormones? Thanks, sick of these things.

I got them a lot when I was pregnant. I haven't gotten one this time yet but I'm just waiting on it since I'm still on progesteron suppositories. Have you tried the 3 day monistat? That seemed to work a lot better for me than the cream alone. Also, I have heard that if you can go without underwear while you are sleeping that it helps. TMI I know but when I'm not on the suppositories I try to do that and it really helps. I hope you get some relief soon because I know how uncomfortable those are! :-/

Hi Jen, I've had Horrible problems with BV this pregnancy. And I'd never even heard of it before I became pg this time. It's definitely hormones. But, and I mean you should really try this because it's saved me, I started drinking a smoothie drink with probiotics. It's called Kefir, I think it's made by a company called Lifeway. It's a tad expensive at about $4 a bottle, but it is SO worth it. Probiotics keep all the bacteria and stuff "down there" on an even balance. And they help with digestion too.

Ugh jen that sucks. I had reccurent yeast infections when I first went on birth control in college. Yogurt with live cultures help. I am allergic to the creams so im SOL if I get one with this pregnancy. Do you take baths? That can cause them too. I hope you feel better. I found that I got really good at recognizing the symptoms. The earlier you treat the better.

I just get mine in the health and organics section of our grocery store. I'd definitely recommend it.

YUCK with a capital YUCK. I'm sorry you keep getting them - I hear it is not uncommon to get them frequently during pregnancy, sorry you're having to deal with them... y.u.c.k.

oh, and Michelle from ttcam says to use the 7 day treatment, the others are not worth it... worth a shot anyway.
