So I called the doc to see if I could get in there. I think I have a YI again, will be my 3rd this pregnancy, but I wanted to make sure cause I also kinda feel swollen and irritated down there. The nurse just said use monistat. I see my doc next Monday. But is it normal to keep getting these, my last was like 3 weeks ago. I'm scared cause last time I was scratching so much and had that spotting scare. I'm not doing the things they tell you not to. My pants are not too tight, I'm not in a wet bathing suit and I dry after showers. Is it just hormones? Thanks, sick of these things.

Jen, if you're burning from the cream you probably don't have a YI. It's probably a BV (bacterial vaginosis) and your doctor needs to test you for that. Call tomorrow and get in and get tested. That's exactly what happened to me the first time I had BV. I thought it was a YI, but the cream burned so badly I went to the walk-in clinic because my doc couldn't get me in. Turned out not to be a YI at all. Get tested tomorrow though because it's not good to let this infection go on too long.

Thx, I used to take the Pill diflucan but doc said not to while preggers, but I think I might be having a reaction to the cream , I burn so badly when I put it in and wanna scratch all my stuff off. Is that how it's supposed to feel? I feel like a bad feminine itch commercial.

oh, and Michelle from ttcam says to use the 7 day treatment, the others are not worth it... worth a shot anyway.

YUCK with a capital YUCK. I'm sorry you keep getting them - I hear it is not uncommon to get them frequently during pregnancy, sorry you're having to deal with them... y.u.c.k.

I just get mine in the health and organics section of our grocery store. I'd definitely recommend it.

Ugh jen that sucks. I had reccurent yeast infections when I first went on birth control in college. Yogurt with live cultures help. I am allergic to the creams so im SOL if I get one with this pregnancy. Do you take baths? That can cause them too. I hope you feel better. I found that I got really good at recognizing the symptoms. The earlier you treat the better.
