Where is your baby???

Hi Ladies -

So I'm curious - I've been listening to the baby's heartbeat on the doppler now for almost 4 week - he/she moves around a lot, but ususally I can find it in the same spot - like a finger wide above my public hair line. It got me wondering - shouldn't the baby start moving up out of the pubic bone by now? I can feel my uterus and it's definately come out, but I would have thought that by now, the baby would be a little higher than where he/she has been. I googled it (shame on me) and some women are saying that the baby is like a finger or two down from their belly button... Of course that sends me into a little panic (not too bad though) of is he/she not growing so that's why the baby hasn't moved up? Oh the crazy we bring on ourselves... Anyone have any input/personal experience to share???

Thanks!

Ann

Deep breath, hun. :)

You've just entered the 2nd tri...but...your LO is still pretty small and he/she has quite a bit of room to move around, but some babies...like mine, prefer to lie down low. In fact the majority of movement I feel from her is way down near my pubic bone..sometimes higher, but often times low. Same goes for her HB. I heard her HB quite low for a long time....I'm just now, at 18 weeks, hearing her HB a bit higher, between my pubic bone and navel. She's been ahead in her growth, by about 4-6 days, since week 10 and my

I think a lot of where the baby is depends on your body and how

Ann for the longest time, we could only hear the hb way low. It wasn't until almost 24 weeks that she moved. We have been able to find her hb in the exact same spot since. To the right of my belly button. She stays curled down my right side. I think she has been on the left only 1 or 2 times.

I don't think there is anything to worry about. He found a comfy spot!!

Ann, that little one can be anywhere! She/he must just be cozy right where she/he is at!

I always foUnd the hb pretty low, prob until 26 weeks, it all depends on the person though. I would not worry. It's still under my belly button at 33 weeks.

Thank you all ladies - that helps a lot. I just don't know where I should be since I've never been here before.

My little guy always is low in my pelvis. I've only felt kicks at the top of my uterus a few times. My uterus is measuring a week big so I know there's room, he just prefers to make me unconfortable :)

Ann - For the first few weeks I listened (7-9 weeks), mine was about an inch blow my belly button . . . either right there or down an inch below AND to the left or right about a half inch.
