5 weeks, no symptoms. :(

Hi ladies!  Well I know it's pretty early but I was hoping I'd be feeling more by now.  I'm currently 5 weeks, 3 days in.  I know with DD, I didn't get nausea etc until I was at least 6 weeks along, but still.  I guess I just want to feel something so I can have a warm fuzzy that everything's OK down there.  I have been feeling some occasional cramping, and I've been pretty tired - more, I think, than usual.  A couple nights ago I had to apologize to DH because I was so tired that I was snapping at him.  I've been going to bed a little earlier and that seems to help some.  I don't remember being this tired, this early with DD, but since she was my first, I got to sleep a lot more than I do now!  I definitely think that has something to do with it. I was joking with DH that sometimes it's hard to tell if I'm pregnancy-tired or just normal-tired, since I'm tired all the time lol.

I have my confirmation appointment with my doctor next week.  First ultrasound, not sure when that will be, but I will insist that it not be before 8-9 weeks.  That is what I did with DD and it lowered my stress levels a lot.  With my first pregnancy, they had me come in at 6 weeks.  Then it was a couple more weeks of gut-wrenching waiting and wondering until we confirmed it was a missed miscarriage.  Not going through that again, no way.  I'd rather go in at 9 weeks and if there's no heartbeat, at least I won't have to have that extremely stressful wait again.

It's still very early but I know that need for symptoms! With the pg I m/c, I never had a single symptom the whole 7 weeks, with my pg with DS I had sickness from 10dpo so I always said that if I didn't get symptoms from that early with my next pg I didn't want to know I was pg because I would just be convinced it was gonna end. Thankfully (yes, thankfully!) I had sickness from 10dpo again! You just become so desperate for your symptoms to match up with your successful pg!

Of coure, if you're carryin a boy this time, then your pg may differ from last time so no sickness doesn't mean no baby. Hang in there, the early weeks suck!

I know it is stressful when you don't have all the typical symptoms but you are still very early. I think being tired is a good sign. I was really tired also in the beginning. Good luck with your upcoming appointment.
