Anxiety Overload Today

I'm just having a really tough day anxiety wise.  I heard baby on the doppler this morning, I can feel him or her moving sometimes...but I just can't shake the feeling that something is wrong.  I know it's totaly PAL brain and not logical but I can't get past it today.  I tried texting and calling a few friends but one was at work (obviously an acceptable excuse, lol)  and the others basically have too much of their own things goes on right now and aren't really up for giving support.  DH is at work and can't really talk until later.  He's having a bad day at work too so I don't want to burdon him.  I just feel really really alone right now.

I just wish I could turn off my brain for a while. At least if I was working tonight I'd be able to distract myself but it's my night off so I'll just be lieing in bed overthinking everything.  I'm having a lot of pain this pregnacy and my OB says it's normal to have more with later pregnancies because the muscles/ligaments aren't as strong. On top of all the PAL brain we have a lot of real stress and issues going on.  I just really needed someone today and am feeling a little abandoned.  I just need it to be Tuesday so I can see my baby at my ultrasound.  Thank you all for being here to vent to on a tough day.

Thank you all, sincerely!! I used to feel this way in the week or two before DD's CTs and oncology appointments. So I think it's the ultrasound coming that is weighing on me. It's kind of like even though I know everything is probably fine, that day opens up the possibility of being told that there's a problem...if that makes sense?

Thank you all for the suggestions. IV tried meds like Zoloft in the past and my body just doesn't react well to them. When not pregnant I take Xanax for true anxiety attacks. I usually have great coping skills (been dealing switch this for 10+ years) but the hormones make it harder!!! I have been exercising but think I'll try some prenatal yoga! I have a few DVDs a friend let me have so I can try those. Thts about all I have time for these days anyway! =) I'm feeling better today but know I won't be a lot better until after the ultrasound.

Jenn--

I wish I could have been more support --I know what it's like to have days that are just awful during pregnancy.  Sometimes it doesn't really have a reason beyond stress, hormones and flashbacks.  BUT, if you feel something is wrong, speak up--talk to your OB about it...  sometimes there are things that can be done to put your mind at ease.

The NST during the end of my pregnancy were a big help to make sure he was doing OK and also a good indicator that things were also not quite what they wanted--  yep, sometimes the extra testing was hard to deal with but it did give us more answers.

Panic attacks are absolutely no fun...  I had them during this pregnancy especially dealing with sonograms. Coming here for support... leaning on us will help.  It helped me a great deal.

My new motto--may take a village to raise a child but it took an Ivillage to get this one born:smileytongue:

Jenn sorry I found your post kinda late..I hope you are feeling better today! I had a lot of pain in my later pregnancy with my 19 month old girl so I know how it can kind of worry you ..but a lot of it is normal. I also have panic anxiety attacks and have had them for years I know how you feel..they are so scary and is not a fun way to live. I did a program that really helped me because me being me I did not like taking all the meds it only made me worse. It was called day treatment program and it was a support group with people who had this anxiety and panic. It was about every other day for about an hour..it was the best thing I did for myself because they taught me how to use relaxing techniques and different things to do when feeling these attacks come on. I am not sure if the program is in the state you live but it is worth checking out. Anyway if you ever need to talk I am here! ((HUGS))
