I'm sorry to bug you again, but I need to put my mind at ease because my next OB appointment isn't until this Thursday. Not sure if you remember me, but I posted a few weeks ago about losing my cat passing away.

I'm so glad you adopted a new kitty!

Toxoplasma is a very real pathogen that in my opinion has been grossly overrepresented in it's prevelance and misrepresented in it's contagiousness.

Aubre - thank you so much for responding! This has calmed my fears a great deal (and I think I'll actually be able to sleep tonight). Our cat Elvis is strictly an indoor kitty but we aren't sure if he was with his previous owner. We allow him to have free reign with the exception of our son's room. My PAL brain is still in overdrive and I have been so worried. When I was in nursing school (long before I was married and having children was a distant thought at that time)...my instructor scared the crap out of us about this and I never forgot. I was afraid to tell the OB because I figured they would think I was nuts. I have anxiety issues and have had them for many years before my m/c's - your explanation has saved me from a lot of panic attacks! Thank you again! :)

Thank you sooo much for this info! I've been wondering about this too as we have 3 outdoor cats and no internet info is really helpful.
