Reading this article made me sad for her. I know I have scoffed at them in jealousy of their robust fertility. And I don't agree with having that many children because it turns the older children into caretakers of the younger ones. But for her to lose a 2nd T baby after so many successes...so sad.

Thats so sad. As much as I dont agree with having that many kids, it breaks my heart because its the exact same way we lost ours... while at the u/s to find out the sex.

It is very sad, definitely. This is actually her 2nd miscarriage. But I believe the first one was a 1T loss. It was that loss that made them decide to leave it up to God how many kids they'd have. I can't imagine a 2T loss. They have so many people praying for them I'm sure.

So sad, and scary to have a loss in the 2T. The thought of this terrifies me. I also don't agree with the number of children she has had, but I am still so saddened for her.

Well, there is a possibilty of having more chromosomal issues at an older age, but more times than not, I've seen women over 40 have very healthy babies too. I have many friends over 40 who do.

I don't think anyone this day in age needs even half that many children, but it is not for me to decide.

So very sad- and to have to live it in the public eye like this with everyone thinking they get an opinion on whether it was 'deserved' or not must be brutal.

FWIW, it's none of my business how many children they have. They aren't necessarily aiming to populate a state for goodness sake, they are simply making a personal choice to not use birth control. The right to take BC is supported widely, so why not the right to not? They are extremely loving, self supporting parents, I think that buys them the right to not be judged for simply the size of their family.

Could I have that many children? I don't think I could handle it, but that doesn't mean others can't.
