Has anyone else been worried the tech might have been wrong about the gender of their little one? We were told girl but the baby had their legs so tight she said it was just a guess. The print out we got looks like a girl but some have said it doesn't look like either because you can't see three white lines?( I've never seen a girl ultrasound so not sure) I have the ultrasound on DVD and keep watching it over and over. In one part it looks like maybe a boy but only one second the rest looks like a girl and you can see three white lines. Just worried that the tech was wrong. I have no more ultrasounds and the closest elective place is three hours away and cost 130 for 15 minutes I believe. Not to mention the cost of gas to get down there =[ I just want to know what my baby is for sure =[

That's a tough one. Here in England they only ever say they are 90% sure to cover the possiblity that they could be wrong. Maybe you could discuss it with your OB and hope they are generous enough to offer you another u/s. Other than that, it might just be a case of buyin neutral and waitin til the big day to find out for sure.

I ALWAYS doubt even when I see for sure with my own eyes LOL And at every follow up u/s I ask them to look again ;) They always humor me and so far there's been no switches or surprises.

Will you get another u/s? If so then you could wait for that- although waiting is HARD! Otherwise the elective places are fun. I've gone just to have the 3D pics as a keepsake :)

If that was your last u/s and the tech said it was "just a guess," then I would not be buying pink. It's harder to tell if it's a girl vs. boy, and it sounds like with the baby's position, the tech was not sure. If you can't do an elective u/s, I would just buy neutral colors and get ready to be surprised either way when your little one is born!

How frustrating! I really like knowing too so I can plan ahead. I've had some doubts too, especially when they only get a quick peek during the u/s! I would play it safe and maybe not buy a lot for a girl "just in case!"
