Ugh today I had an awful nurse on the phone....I called to check on my hcg level which she told me was 780. When I asked her if this was normal she responded " well we don't know because you didn't wait two months like you were supposed to" ... Like really!? People are so mean sometimes! Now ill be a nervous wreck until Friday when I can find out if the numbers are doubling like they are supposed to. 780 seems kind of low because I had my miscarriage 6 weeks ago... Does that sound normal to you girls?

There was really no need for a response like that! What a horrible woman!

I hope you get great doubling numbers, KUP!

Sorry ;( that's awful. Are they usually impatient like that? Might want to think about switching doctors. The ones we went to for the first pg and then my fibroid surgery were always horribly busy. It made them rushed and unsympathetic. The new doc is not nearly as crowded and ive found them to be much more patient and willing to take the time with me. That's the kind of attention you need right now.

I am sorry the nurse was a turd. It is really hard to tell without having 2 HCG numbers to compare because one number really doesn't tell you much. I am sorry you have to wait until Friday.

I talked to the lab guy when he was taking the blood and he said I should have them tomorrow which makes sense since last time it was the next day. I'm guessing the nurse said call Friday because she was mean anyway as bad as that sounds. Like it was just not uobe bothered in case there not ready.

I think most women ignore the 2 month thing. I did. My first reading at 4 weeks was 49. The nurse sounded skepitcal, but I am now 10 weeks. That first number means nothing.
