We got about 14 inches of snow yesterday. Dh is working out of town. I had NO choice but to shovel myself out. And now I'm terrified. Please pray that I didn't mess anything up, I'm so nervous.

Sorry Torie, that sucks about the snow. I'll say a prayer for you. I did some shoveling of ice built up a couple weeks ago. I had a little cramping afterward, but everything was fine. You should be ok. :)

Hi Torie,

While I live in Los Angeles and really have no clue how much energy shoveling snow involves, I don't think you should worry about it. With my 1st pg I remember everyone telling me not to lift anything heavy and stay off my feet. With this one, I've been picking up and carrying my 30-35 lb daughter the entire time and it didn't cause any problems. I know it's hard not to stress, but I'm sure you didn't harm your little one at all :)

That little guy or gal is so tinsy and so protected. I wouldn't worry one bit about it. There is no proof that lifting does anything to the pregnancy that early. I worried too because I have twins - one of which weighs 55 pounds. I've lifted them both. I looked up the research on the subject and was convinced that things were ok.
