Will my PAL brain ever give me any peace.

I keep thinking I will breath easier after next appointment or U/S but I find that the relief is short live. Now that we finally are telling people, I am that much more worried that my 2nd T U/S is going to show something serious wrong. I mean I was even a PAL with my first son and now I am trying to remember how I managed to carry him nine months with out driving myself insane.

Hi Laura,

I understand completely how you feel! I, too, would feel OK after a good OB appointment or U/S...for a few days. About a week later,I'd start to panic again about everything...and by the time the next appointment rolled around, I was in complete PAL mode again.

Can you feel the baby move yet?

I have only felt occasional flutters to date. I am way heavier than I was with any of my other sons and I know that the reason. That's was one of the main reason for my going to the elective U/S because I was freaked that I was not feeling much at 15 weeks when with my boys I felt pretty regular movements around 14 weeks. I can not wait till I am feeling stong kicks and able to control it somewhat by drinking juice, poking back and such.

I totally hear you, as every appointment I had through 2T, I felt great and confident afterward.
I can't say when I stopped worrying though or can even say that I truly have, but I know that I don't have the doom/gloom feeling I would get a week after the appointment any longer, so it does happen at some point and I don't think at the same time for everyone!

I haven't even prepared us for this baby, literally no bottles (hoping to BF), daipers, bassinet, or carseat. We are literally sitting on a landmine right now and I can't get myself to go out and purchase a thing (technically I can't even shop right now, so hmmm)!

Shoot I'm not helping here, but I just want you to know that I can completely relate to what you are saying. There will be a day that you won't have these feelings anymore and I hope it is very soon.

Sending you PT's that soon you will be able to relax and enjoy this pregnancy!

Jenn thanks. I am so sorry you are stuck on bedrest and are unprepared for baby. Can you buy some of this one line. BTW You really do not need all the much right off an outfit to wear home form the hospital, the hospital will give you a few bottles of formula with nipples in case BF does not go great at first. They will also give some extra diapers. I understand most hospitals will even give you a car seat if you do not have one. Try not to stress to much just try to relax and take care of yourself.

Jeannessa thanks. I pray that you are right. My Scan is only 9 days way now I really hope that all is well and my mind will be put to ease after. It just so hard after so many losses to believe that I might finally get to hold another healthy baby in my arms. Also my age and the increased odd of problems with the baby because of it still weighs heavily. Of course we would take on any challenges head-on

Laura i am praying for yOu so your angels can ease your fears! I know its hard but you should have some peace of mind things will definitly be ok!

I on the other hand have avoided the board alil due to after my U/S i did have another major bleed along with clotting and this week had 2 alone. That does still worry me but hearing a heartbeat and looking at the last set of US pics definitly make me feel relieved but just very cautious with eyes wide open. But hanging in there! You should definitly feel blessed you have come soo far with your lil boy.
I hope you can take your mind off it and enjoy him more and not worry about what ifs forthe next 9days :)

Oh Jeannessa I am so sorry you had more bleeding. I recall with Timmy how upsetting it was each time. That was before home dopplers were really available. I was blessed with a great Dr that used to just let me stop in and see his nurse to hear the heartbeat. I pray the bleeding stops once and for all. ((((HUGS))))
