10th time's a charm??
Mon, 02-04-2013 - 10:55am

Well here I am again and hopefully THIS time I will get to stay  After 9 m/c's in the past 2 1/2 yrs, including an 8.5 wk loss in 8/11 and 11/12, and an ectopic in 7/12, I see two lines again.  It's hard to get my hopes up and I am finally at a point wher I am just taking it for what it is...a chance.  I know it still might not work out and I realize there is absolutely NOTHING I can do to change the outcome.  I hesitate to post, but I know that whether I do or don't, it won't change what happen, so here it is.  We moved last month to injctables with a trigger shot and IUI since I can't seem to stay pregnant without intervention and the pills didn't seem to help.  They also discovered my eggs are very diminished, so my NEW dr (LOVE HIM) said it was time to be more aggressive.  I couldn't have asked for a better chance...AF was actually like the old days...light and short, I was on vacation and able to go to al blood draws, u/s, and, appts, and DH had no issues for once with the pressure of performing.  I thought there was a faint faint line Fri on 8 DPO and there was definitely a faint line Sat.  I was really sick Fri and I hope this won't cause problems, but there is nothing I can do so I won't worry.  Yesterday and today there are definitely lines, but they are still faint.  it's only 11 DPO though, so I will take it.  We had 3 follicles that were potentially going to release eggs.  When I went for the IUI, 2 of the eggs had already released (one being the questionable follicle) and the other was about to burst.  Timing was good and I was hopeful.  So I am praying all works out and we are pregnant (and will stay pregnant) with 1-3 babies.  I would absolutely love twins, but honestly I am just praying for one healthy baby at this point.  Fingers crossed for babies that stick this time.  My chart looks awesome, so that encourages me and I am slightly nauseated.  Anyway, just wanted to give an update and say hello again to everyone.  Congrats to all of you who were supportive of me over the past 6 months and have now graduated!

Congratulations Karri!  I hope this time is the charm for you, and that you get your dream of a keeper baby or babiesSmile  When do you go for your blood draws and u/s?

Congrats and welcome back!!!  Praying for you and your rainbow! :) Are they going to be testing your HCG levels every 48 hours? I'm glad you are pleased with your new doctor, that always helps with your faith when you know your doctor is doing everything for you.  Please keep us updated!

YAY Karri!!! So happy you got a bfp. Hopefully this lovely new doctor had just the right combination. Happy you got away from doctor meanie. I think your attitude about it is so good. Like you said it's out of your control so just enjoy that at this moment you are pregnant with possibly 1-3 babies. So hope you stick around.

Thanks, I noticed there weren't too many recent posts.  It's a shame what Ivillage has become.  It used to be such a big part of my life and now I rarely post because it's too much trouble to do it, plus you don't get a notification that someone replied unless you jump through hoops.

The pregnancies that weren't chemicals made it to 8 1/2 weeks.  From the beginning though, numbers were barely doubling, if doubling at all, and the hb was slow and growth was behind.  If I see good doubling numbers and a normal HR, I will feel pretty confident.  I don't think a PAL ever feels completely safe, but I am trying to put the past in the past and BELIEVE that this can work.  Crossing my fingers...

The boards have been really, really difficult lately, so if you don't get many replies, don't think nobody gives a hoot. I don't normally hang around pregnancy boards anymore, but I also spent spent my time in PAL, so I don't want you to feel alone.

Did your doctor give you any idea when you can start trusting? (i.e. if you make it to XX weeks, you'll be fine)

Prayers for your little one.
