Odd situation and in need of advice/perspective

Hi there and welcome to the board. You certainly are dealing with an odd situation and I imagine it is causing you a ton of upset.

Has your boyfriend said why he isn't happy about having another child? Has he really thought about how he would feel if your child was given up for adoption? Given the fact that he's so close with you daughter, I wonder if he's really thought about what he'd be missing. Are you able to have an open conversation with him regarding everything you are feeling?

It sounds like you've just been shut out emotionally and that has got to hurt. Have you thought about counseling for yourself (or, even better, for both of you)? Perhaps having someone to talk to about these things will help put everything in a clearer light, giving you some peace with whatever decision you make.
