Hi everyone,

It's been a while since I've posted. Things have been a bit hectic...but I'm proud to report that our little bundles of joy have arrived! They were born on May 4th at 37 weeks due to me having preclampsia. Will was born first at 8:05pm weighing 6.3 and Ayla arrived a minute later weighing 6.10. All I kept thinking about was how big they would've been if I went three more weeks! Yikes! I had a repeat csection and this time around it was much easier, although Will had a bit of difficulty breathing at first so they had to take him to the NIC unit. Turned out he didn't need any help afterall, so they just kept him for observation and he joined his sister the next morning.

The adjustment is hard, but it's getting easier. We're not living at home due to DH building an addition on the house, so we're staying at my parents. It's hard not being in our own home. DS Connor is doing much better, and is finally starting to get used to having a brother and sister. Honestly, I think having a toddler on top of twins makes things a bit harder as DS requires a lot of attention, but each day it gets easier as we find routine.

The twins are doing well eating and sleeping and are on the same schedule. Have been since they were born! They're doing 4 hour - 4.5 hour stretches which is great. So far so good!

Hope all is well with everyone!

Congrats on your healthy BIG babies. I am aiming for BIG babies myself. Some people cannot have 6 pound singleton babies, so that is awsome you delivered two that size. My first was 8 lbs 3 oz. He is three now and will have to go through the same adjustments as your toddler. At least they will have some playmates a little farther down the road ; )
