A day early!! I was set to have a scheduled c-section on October 27th at 3pm due to both girls being breech.. I went in for a routine NST on Thursdayand found out I was having contractions every 6-7 minutes, lasting about 30 seconds.. which I had been having since the day before, but I obviously wasn't that concerned about it, or I would have got my butt to the hospital sooner. The doctor came in to examine me at 3, and found out I was 5cm dialated with a bulging membrane sac. Needless to say, I never left the hospital that day...
Emma was born at 5:00pm , weighing in at 6lbs 1oz and 18 inches long. Hanna came shortly after at 5:03pm, weighing 6lbs 11oz and 20 inches long. Both girls came into the world feet first and had great cries. Everything went fantastic with the c-section and was alot easier then I thought it would be. I was in the recovery room with my 2 little girls by 5:30 and everything has been smooth sailing since...
I got lucky and got discharged after 48 hours, which was so nice to be in the comfort of my own home! I have been home for about 24 hours now, and this has been so easy so far, it's unreal.. They woke up once last night, and I basically woke them up to eat.. they are VERY easy going and have been sleeping alot so I have been taking advantage of it.
My poor husband has been sick since the evening of their birth, so he hasn't really had the chance to bond with them yet, and has been keeping his distance.
