Vaginal delivery, minor tear... Worst part was the epidural they required me to have. Never ever getting one again.
I was in early labor Sunday night, went in to get checked and my cervix was making some process so they decided to keep me until morning. At 2 am the contractions were getting closer and more intense so they started my IV with antibiotics for GBS and while the anesthesiologist put in my IV he started the normal spiel about the epidural so that he didn't have to waste time after the IV (several pokes and ended in my hand) to get started on the epidural. I dozed off and on through out the day and around 2pm just couldn't stay awake. I woke up at 3:25pm (I woke up staring at the clock) to the nurse telling Jonathan goodbye that her shift was over. I gave her a half attempt at a hug as I couldn't feel anything from about an inch above my waist down. I immediately started drifting out again and my OB walked in and asked if I was feeling any pressure. I woke myself up enough to figure out that yes I was feeling a lot of pressure. She checked me, and I'd gone from a 5 at 2 pm to complete with Juniper's head crowning at 3:30. They quickly wheeled me down to the csection room (just as a precaution), delivered, and we were done, leaving the csection room by 4:04pm.
I am awfully bruised from being turned, shifted, pulled and what not since I had no feeling thanks to the epidural but otherwise we're all doing well.
