My Miracles Arrived

Hi Everyone! I just wanted to update everyone real quick, my babies were born July 28th at 35 weeks and 3 days. I ended up with pre eclampsia that kept me in the hospital for a couple of weeks got to go home and ended back in the hospital 10 days later.

Caitlyn Grace was born at 8:01 a.m. and weighed 6 pounds 2 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long. Gabriel William decided he was not quite ready so he did not join us until 9:28 a.m. and he weighed 6 pounds 8 ounces and was 20 inches long.

Labor was really good went to LND and was already 5 cm dilated and contracting just not consistently but I was having a sharp pain in my tummy, low and behold that was my placenta tearing and my blood pressure was 186 over 132. Pre Eclampsia was taking its course. My water was broken at 3:56 am and here we are.

Both babies had to be heli padded over to Tacoma and spent 6 days in th NICU for high crit levels but both babies are home and doing great and breastfeeding is working like a champ. I am a little tired, but recovery has been great since we did not tear or need to be cut.

I look forward to many more adventures with my miracle babies..

Congrats on your babies.

Why did they have to go to the NICU? I thought 35-36 weeks was a "safe" time to deliver twins. Was it because of the pre-clampsia?

Enjoy the babies, and I look forward to pictures!!!

Hi! They had to spend time in the NICU because there crit levels were high, if they could not stabalize them they were going to have to do a transfusion. My crit levels dropped to less than 10% and there's were over 60%. Shar
