I had pre-e very bad and very quick...borderline HELLP. I was sooooooo swollen for like weeks. I still looked preggo for like 2 weeks then it FLEW off. At my 2 weeks PP checkup, I had lost 50 lbs. At 6 weeks, 70 lbs. And now...I have lost all 80. It took awhile and I still had to have my wedding ring re-sized. I am 120 lbs and gained a TON of water weight- I could only wear ONE worn out, stretched out pair of flip flops and could not walk without leg cramps, etc. Ironically, drinking water will help and you might have night sweats really bad to get rid of it.

I had Pre E pretty bad too, I gained 20 lbs the last month. My water weight came off very slow and it took my blood pressure FOREVER to come down. I was monitored rather closely, I've heard horror stories about woman being sent home only to have terrible problems and no one will listen to them. I saw my DR once a week for BP checks and the nurses would check it when I went to visit the babies in the NICU. I new when it started to come back down cause the BP meds made me dizzy. I think I was on PB meds for ~2 months, it seemed like FOREVER. FYI I'm a normally healthy person, I'm a runner, eat well and really enjoy exercise. Not sure why I had such a hard time with Pre E.

Hope you recover quickly.
