I had a general u/s today, 14w6d, to make sure everything is progressing normally. I met a new doc who joined the appt because he's a high risk specialist (and even has 12yo triplets from the same IF department), and he was very eager from the beginning to answer my questions and make sure I had everything I needed. Before doc got started with the u/s he asked if we wanted to know what we were having and DH and I looked at each other and said, well yeah but we thought we'd find out in 2 weeks. Doc said he'd take a look and see what we could find...
So he proceeds with the u/s and let us know that everything looks good, all have strong hb and appear to be growing normally. This was a huge relief because I've been so anxious to feel them (I know it's still very early), but seeing their hb was reassuring. He kept looking around and asked us again if we wanted to know the sexes and we said yes, and I asked him if I saw what I thought I saw on Baby C and he said, "Yes. It's a boy!" There was no mistakin' on him! Babies A and B were bashful with their legs crossed so we're hoping to get views on them at another general u/s next week. I must say, the frequency of u/s with a multiple pg is awesome!
We're thrilled that the babies are doing well and I'm stoked that we get to give the first boy on DH's side. :smileyvery-happy:
