Goodness, I'm sorry you're going through this. I haven't been through it myself but I hope someone chimes in soon. Did your doctor mention starting FFN testing?

I'm sorry to hear about this. I had the same problem, but it didn't start until I was 32 weeks. As soon as they did the ultrasound and saw that I was funneling, they admitted me to the hospital. Once I was admitted they found out that I also had severe toxemia and they went ahead and delivered my boys at 32 weeks 2 days. So unfortunately I can't give you any advice about the condition other than stay off your feet, rest and call the doctor if you feel any contractions, or even slight cramps. Good luck and let us know how you are doing.

Thank you and no he hasn't said anything about FFN testing, I'm not even sure what it is honestly, these little guys are my first.

I honestly don't know if you my cervix was funneling, but my doctor was concerned starting about 26 weeks. At that point I had to cut back on work and lay down as much as possible.

Did he define what he meant by taking it easy? For me, I had to lay down as much as possible, only allowed to get up for short periods of time to shower, go to the bathroom. I wasn't allowed to do anything physical for the most part, and to keep pressure off my cervix.

I have no experience with carrying twins.

But I am a veteran Incompetent Cervix Survivor. For starters DON"T worry the nerves boiling will just cause you and the babies stress!

There are several things I have learned over the past few years ~ Some DR's do not take Incompetent Cervix Seriously enough. And Do not tell a women all she really needs to know but then again that might be because they them selves don't know the condition well enough.

find out your cervical length (anyhing less than 3cm should be a RED FLAG) they get a better measurement thru a transvaginal ultrasound. And you want the length from the NON funneling part of the cervix.

contradictory - DO NOT ALLOW them to physically put anything in your vajayjay... you want to keep anything and everything away from contacting the cervix because if it is soft or dialated the slightest change in chemistry can trigger labor or infection.

Stay off your feet and off your bottom! Meaning lay down.... Sitting up right puts the babies weight

I have never heard of that but continue to share your progress to document it here for future members who may need assistance and support with that problem. Hugs to you on bedrest. I so hope I don't have to use up my maternity leave with bedrest before my twin boys even get here. I know that must be stressful :(
