I'm having trouble eating very much food, even though from what I've read and heard we're supposed to be eating tons. If I eat very much I am absolutely MISERABLE for hours afterwards. Tonight we had tacos for dinner, I ate all of one and part of another, then had some ice cream and a cookie for dessert. I feel like I ate a HUGE Thanksgiving Day meal, just so terribly bloated and can't get comfortable. The only time I feel okay is if I eat very little, which I know is not good for the babies.

Is anyone else feeling like this? I just spent an hour lying down with my dd trying to get her to go to sleep while I was in absolute misery laying there, feeling like I was going to suffocate or something. All of this at only 23 weeks!!!

I can't eat a lot in one sitting, either. I like Dr Luke's book, but I think her food lists are a bit much. I just can't eat that much in a day! I see them more like a loose guide, than a must-even-if-it-makes-me-sick.

That said, I get hungry often... so I think the key is to eat many times a day, as opposed to one sitting. If I ate what you ate at that taco meal, I also would have felt so miserable! Don't make yourself sick, no sense in that...

My thing is to make sure at every meal, I eat the protein first, so if I get full too fast, at least I got the baby-making stuff in. Then, I eat whatever else, until I feel full, which is fast. I don't push it. And two hours later, when I'm hungry again, I can eat something else, maybe dessert. :)

I'm 19 wks w/ twin girls. I'm finding I can't eat as much because I'm running out of room too. BUT- I really want to eat chocolate all the time, which I'm pretty sure is not the nutrition I want to give the babies!

I'm beginning to feel like getting the right foods into me at quantities I can take is going to be a part time job! And I can't imagine it'll be getting any easier as it gets more crowded in there! I haven't had any nausea since 13 wks or so though- thankful for that.

Chocolate for you and donuts for me! I know what you mean too - I don't want to build my babies on donuts!
