Alright ladies, what have you got to vent about this week?

*My YDD dunked my iPhone in a slurpee. It worked fine right up til 5 minutes before we left for my birthday dinner.

*SO decided since I was "crabby" after losing my iPhone to a baby and her big sister's frozen beverage, waiting an hour for a pizza *he wanted, I wanted a burger at a different restaurant* and just turning 30 in general, he would just "take me home". Grr

*I got a Facebook message from SO's ex gf to call her. Turns out she wanted a job with his company. Really?

What have you got for us this week?

I have never had a phone dropped in a beverage, but one in a toilet- I feel your pain, especially as expensive as they are to replace! Sorry your birthday didn't turn out, looks like mine may be the same :(

This week has been a difficult one at my house... Just in time for my birthday!

DS has a two week break from preschool and while I like spending time with him, it's hard to keep him entertained and get anything done, especially now that he has decided he "doesn't like going to the store."

DSD #1 has relapsed, we'd love to help her but she won't allow us to, or even tell us where she is, she just randomly shows up at the house but can't allow her in the house because we are worried to have her around DS in her state. Unfortunately we have been through this multiple times and nothing has helped long term.

DSD #2 has announced she is pregnant, she is very happy and doesn't understand why we aren't. Well, duh! I had DS young and you would think would be more understanding but this was intentional and she is unwilling to listen to reason, she's convinced that her abusive BF who sleeps around and doesn't take care of his other child will be a great dad because "he loves her." At least I got her set up with good prenatal care, it's the only thing I can think to do. The situation is terrible, but it's not the fault of that baby that she made bad selfish choices.

Of course, given all this I feel like complete trash- I know we are good people who have done as best as we could with difficult situations, but obviously no one else knows or cares to know the whole story and just assumes it's somehow our fault things have turned out this way.

My crazy MIL won't leave me alone. We do not get along and she keeps bugging me for details of the pregnancy so she "has something to tell her friends at work". Huh?? She complains about me to everyone in the family trying to get their sympathy. I have told her to call her son if she wants information. She does and he says everything is fine. She says she wants more than "fine" when it comes to HER grandchildren. Both of my SIL bitch about her the same way but I'm the only one who has decided enough is enough and finally told her how I feel. She only pays attention to the newest baby in the family then when the novelty wears off or a diaper needs to be changed she's off to the next thing that she thinks will get her some attention. She only wants to be a grandma when other people are around to notice. Other than that she completely ignores her grandchildren.

Wow sorry this was so long but man it feels good!!

(((HUGS))) I'm so sorry things are so difficult right now. I have a close family member with a drug addiction, I know how hard it can be to want to help but not be able to do a single thing for them.

Well, I usually let things roll off my back but I have a mild GRR moment.

My family baby shower is the 19th which EVERYONE has known about for months now. So my Godmother/Aunt (this is my moms sister) and her girlfriend decide to leave for vacation this week and they will be gone until the end of July. (They have a motorbus/home they live in).

Love and Blessings,Trish
