Sooo, this a little off topic here but its a dilemma I have now that we're expecting 2 more GIRLS!!! hahahaha Well, it'd still be a dilemma if they were boys, but you get what I mean!

We live in an older farm house and while we do intend on "upgrading" to a larger house, that is still nearly 2 years down the road!!! So in the mean time I have to get "creative"... We have 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom

Personally, I hang 95% of their clothing...only socks, underwear (like layering onesies) and pj's get folded. It's a lot easier for ME to organize their stuff (since it's easy to rearrange hangers than dig in drawers). I'm kind of anal, so everything is hung in "outfits" by size...and I tend to either dress them matching or coordinating, so both outfits are hung next to each other. If I ran out of room to hang everything (like the next size up) I got some of the "under the bed bins" and stored them under the cribs (cause they fit under there, and I didn't have a crib with the drawer in it) by size. I always tried to keep the size they wore and the next size up in the closet though because some of the "bigger" sizes run small...so I'd look at them and think "those might fit" and the would....

Also, I generally keep a small box (like a diaper box) on the floor of the closet or up on the shelf. As they outgrow stuff, I immediately put it in the box. When the box is full, I decide to either give it away or store it (or sell it). It keeps it more "manageable" for me to only have to deal with one small box at a time...rather than "spring cleaning" several times a year. Also, if something is stained beyond cleaning or damaged, I just toss it...I know I could probably sew it or do something with it, but I just don't have space, and it means more to me to keep things "decluttered as much as possible" than to make a project out of stained onesies. (though I know someone who tie died hers, and they were super cute). I "guess" I could reuse them and make them into dust cloths...but I haven't...

which doesn't help you since you don't HAVE a closet...but I would say my parents bought a "wardrobe/armoire" at home depot for less than $200..it has doors that open, space to hang stuff, organizing cubbies and the option to install drawers...I think I would go that route and buy two of those over 2 dressers...lol then you can anchor them AND lock the doors shut when they start wanting to dig in them :)

It was like this, but they got the more "pretty" version which looked more like furniture than garage storage..but I didn't see it on the website...
