You can file this post under "You know your babies are taking up even more space in there when..."

I have crazy pregnant dreams. I know many of you do. Lately, I will be in some bizarre involved plot in my dream when I start asking the people in the dream, "Where is the nearest restroom?" In my dream I am running around in desperation to find the restroom. Generally, I find it, walk into the room and it has no toilets, or they don't work, or the stalls are all full, or there is a huge line and people won't let me cut and I pleading to move to the front. At this point, when I am certain I won't make it...I wake up. I realize, I really need to go to the bathroom! Earlier in my pregnancy I would wake up all the time to go to the bathroom without this dream pattern. I think I am SO tired now that my body is trying to stretch out my sleep as long as possible, but my bladder starts to interrupt my dreams. I can't tell you how many bathroom dreams I have had in the past week or so. I miss the sexy dreams of early pregnancy...these ones just show you how non-sexy post 30 weeks feels. ;)

I have to tell you, I got WAY more sleep after the twins were born than before. I was so horribly uncomfortable between my bladder being squeezed, constant heartburn, a belly stretched to its limit, sciatica, etc that I was lucky if I got 30 minutes of sleep at a time. Hey, the 2 hour blocks I got when the twins came home felt like heaven. I guess it's just God's way of preparing you for the two little ones....

Completely agree!!! Pregnant with twins, even the sleep that you get hardly counts as good sleep! After they are born, when you sleep, you really sleep, even if only in 2-hour increments, its good sleep.
Also, my stay in the hospital, after my c/s were the BEST nights of sleep I'd had in months! I had them keep the babies overnight and give them formula--the only formula they've had since they were born! Totally worth it for all those full nights of GREAT sleep!!!
All the best!

Kerry - You are SO right. My guys were in the NICU so I couldn't get to them in the night anyway...so, in the hospital - I just popped ambien and pain meds, and off to the land of sleep for me! Oh those glorious nights of sleep!!! My little guys are 4 months already - and giving me about 4 hours of sleep as a maximum...so a whole night of sleep is still something to remember with longing and joy! Oh well, the first few months went so fast...I am sure they will STTN pretty soon. Or at least that is what I am telling myself!
