New bugaboo-double-the donkey

I just found out that my baby jogger can only have one car seat adapter at a time, therefore making it unusable for twins and 2 car seats. I was just wondering if anyone looked into or has seen or used the new bugabboo donkey, it's pretty costly but I'm wondering if it's worth the money as it can have 2 car seats, or 2 bassinets or 2 regular seats..Thoughts???

Have you looked into a Baby Trend double snap n go? It's just a metal frame the carseats snap into, you can find them new for under $100 and I see them regularly on craigslist for $40ish. That way you can get the double you like and use the dnsg for the early months. :-)

so we actually just picked one up last night from craigs list...they don't sell them here in canada so we were lucky to have found someone done with it.
but did you find it was a comfy stroller to go on a long walk outside with like a real stroller??

I used it daily for nine months when I walked my dog. I also used it to get the twins in and out of the house in one trip (ODD was only 28 months old when they were born) and around stores. I actually hated to have to stop using it and start using my bulky full double. It was so much lighter and easier to maneuver. :-)

I still use my snap and go for trips in stores and quick errands, but I HATE using it outdoors and on sidewalks. For me, though, I found that the stroller I used for that didn't need to take 2 car seat adapters. My twins were 10 weeks early, but when they were about 3 months old (so 2 weeks adjusted), I started taking them on walks outside in the jogging stroller and they loved it. They much prefer being in the stroller to being in their car seats and they can move around and look out at things.

I, too, saw the Donkey and for a minute I had stroller envy, but then I saw the price and also realized it probably wouldn't be great for running/heavy walking anyway. I have the Bumbleride and I LOVE it.

i don't know the bumbleride is it like the baby jogger? would you say 3 months is the youngest you can put them in a regular seat of a jogger stroller? i'm just thinking of walking/running and the snap and go seems so easy to use for errands/ mall etc but not so great for the outdoors. I don't want to spend close to the 2,000 price tag of the donkey (although it does look amazing!) if i can get away with not.
THANKS

Wow, $2K? I thought $1K was pricey for the Peg Perego Triplette stroller we're looking at! I actually discovered the snap 'n' go option yesterday when researching strollers and car seats and I think that's the way we're going, but they only make it up to a double. I think we're still getting a single and double and then splurge on the triple stroller because that's the only one that will hold 3 car seats...

Yes...coincidentally yesterday! DH doesn't like it. lol I think it looks functional and we could use it for a really long time. I'm just so confused about what to get but I know we have time...I'm just a planner and especially with 3 I know our options are a bit more limited.
