new to multiples board

Hi to everyone. I just want to introduce myself and get acquanted with this board. I'm from the IVF board and just found out yesturday that I have 3 sacs growing. I'm only 5w5d at this point so it is VERY early but all three sacs were VERY clear. We did IVF and from that I developed OHSS, Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrom. I have had fluid drained from me 3 times now. Had a bout in the hospital to sever dehydration. I may have another drain tomarrow. Not really sure when that will end.

I was told to check this board out. I'm pretty freaked out right now because of the fact we only had 2 embryos transfered and low and behold there were 3 yesturday. Shocked is an understatement. Of course the Dr has to give us all the what ifs, and cautions, it is understandable on her count. I know we can have healthy triplets, just scared and praying they are all healthy and for my health.

I have not really had any m/s. I am just tired ALL the time, and hungry. Thats about it and I'm greatfull with all the trouble I have had with the OHSS. I am on progest gel, and lovenox for blood thinner.

If anyone has any advice or is in the same boat as me I would love to chat :) I have lots of questions.

Love and Blessings,Trish

My dh and I did our first and only ivf in March 06. We transferred 3 embries and at our first u/s saw 4 hbs. Today those 4 hbs are my precious 3 yr old quadruplet daughters. I delivered at 30 wks 2 day and my daughters weighed b/w 2.8 and 3.4 lbs and stayed in the NICU b/w 5 wks 2 days and 6 wks 6 days...not b/c of health issues but to learn to breath, suck, swallow and gain weight. Praise God they are all healthy, have no issues, and have always met or surpassed their milestones without adjusting their age. If I can be of any help or if you would just like to vent I am here.

Again Congratulations

Yah, I think its hard to stay positive. Yay for the heartbeats!! Amazing! I try to be realistic about the possibility of something going wrong, but still optimistic and hopeful. And that book is awesome, I think ive read it 3 times now! Lol! And for sure don't feel guilty about eating and resting! ! I sleep 8 hours a night and usually nap every day. Its getting hard to sleep well, I have two body pillows, but still don't really sleep good, so the naps help! And once you get further along you get full really fast, so get that weight on while you can! I'm struggling with gaining and have only gained about half of what I should by now, but my perinatologist isn't concerned, because the babies are doing so well, so I'm trying not to worry.

Keep in touch! There's not many triplet moms on here! My emails iamapril79@Hotmail.com, if you ever need it!

Right now i'm getting up at night every few hrs to pee and eat. If i dont eat i start to get sick. I got ovarian hyperstimulation from my ivf treatment and am finally coming out of it. I actually lost 20 lbs with all the fluid being drained out. I'm heavy to begin with (186lbs) So not sure how much to be gaining right now. When I get to see the perinatologist I guess I will know then. I get to go to my IVF specialist until 12 weeks. Weekly u/s is so great! So the fluid is making me pee more than normal. That book is great. I'm about 1/2 way through it and have learned so much. What to expect. It is hard eating so much. I'm only 5'1" I don't have alot of room to begin with LOL. I think me and dh will be in seperate beds after awhile. I just get up to much. He is having a hard time sleeping already.

I was the same way my 1st trimester, if I didn't eat every couple of hours I would feel pretty sick.

You have your hands full! When is your DH coming home? Do you have family around you to help while he is gone? I would be scared if my DH was not home. We live with my parents so we have lots of help when the babies come. Congrats on the new car! Do you have custody of your DH's 2 boys? My DH had 2 girls from prev. marriage and we had custody of them, They are both grown and married and have kids now and we don't have a relationship with them anymore. On their part not ours, its complicated. Being a step mom was the hardest thing I ever have done. I am currently looking for a specialist in my area. We have a great hospital 10mins from us with a level 3 care unit. I have a call in to the hospital for recomendations. I have a wonderful OBGYN but she is 45 mins a way, and if anything happened they would ship me to the hospital that is right by my house anyway. SO, i think it just makes sence to get a specialist here. I pray we find a good one. I have been so spoiled by my IVF Dr. She is so great. Im really going to miss that office.

Well time for bed, TTYS

Love and Blessings,Trish
