"Through the late weeks of gestation, their brains, lungs and livers keep growing and developing to ready them for the world. At 35 weeks, their brains are only two-thirds the size they will be at 39 to 40 weeks."

I've read about the increase in early inductions, especially when it's out of convenience. I want my babies in there as long as possible, knowing full well that they may decide to come on their own earlier than they should. I'm changing drs due to a move in about 2 weeks so it will be interesting to see what their philosophy is. As long as my babies are growing and thriving and my health is good, I have no problem keeping them baking as long as I can, convenience or not.

I would never induce with a singleton unless I hit 41+ weeks and things were starting to go bad in there (low fluid levels, deteriorating placenta). I intend to keep these babies in as long as is healthy for me and for them. Because I have hypertension I don't know how that will change things having never had it before, but my goal is 35 weeks and if I hit that then 38 weeks. I want more then anything to bring my babies home with me. I do NOT want to leave them in the NICU.
