Pregnant before finishing college

I am almost 22, and a senior in college. I missed my period, and took a pregnany test yesterday and it came out postive, not to mention all the pregnancy symptoms I've been having lately. Finishing college is very important to me (especially if I will be having a child), but I also have a lot of student loans I'll have to pay back after I graduate. The father had been planning on going to law school next year. We are not in a relationship, but so far he has been very supportive.

Big Hugs!

I can't imagine the situation you are in - really I can't.

Hang in there. I'm sorry things seem s**tty right now. In all honesty, that is one of my fears too. I'm in college myself. I want to ask if you have a support system like mentioned earlier? Being a single mom isn't so taboo anymore you know? But I would think if you chose to have your baby, it would be best to have your kid and then pursue a career after you graduate since noone wants to hire a pregnant woman for a month then have her leave (unless you found a work from home job or something).

Well, I'm TOTALLY just lurking, and I've been watching and realized that no one was responding to you, and because I've BTDT, I thought I'd give a little advice (that you should feel totally free to take or leave, of course!).

Hi there,

Welcome to the board and thank you for sharing your story with us. Based on what you've posted, is it safe to assume that you've told the father of the baby about your pregnancy? What has he said about the situation?

You have a lot going on and I just wanted you to know that we are here for you. Do you have a strong support system that will be able to help you out during your pregnancy and after the baby is born?
