The boys are excited and anxious to get started. DH (stay at home) is counting down the minutes............... :smileylol:

We've got all the supplies.  Still need to organize their bedroom (mostly going through clothes) and get their homework station ready to go.  I'm tsking off later this week to work on that since work will be calmer then.

We  go back a week from tomorrow and well seeing as DS was in tears over finishing up his summer work, I think its safe to say he is SOOOO not ready or excited. Oy its going to be a LONG week.

We have about half the school supplies and had a very unsucessful shoe shopping trip. Apparently  he has inherited my fat feet and DH long feet...oh I have a feeling this is just the begining of bad shoe shopping experiences!!! Clothing I'm pretty good on especially if its a warm fall but next weekend is shoe mission part 2, hair cuts and final school supplies. I'm actually off next week because my youngest day care is closed so we have Monday to tacke some of these things too. I did remove DH old broken computer from the desk in the boys room and just need an alarm clock and a desk lamp and maybe a lock on the door to keep the 4 year old while we work on homework!!!

Just said my almost 4 year old didn't get a preschool spot. He can't do kindy until he is 6 so we got another year was just looking foward to him starting a more formal school...

We were really hoping to get a desk for the boys' room this year, but we couldn't find one that would fit when younger ds' trundle bed was pulled out at night.  I think we're going to have to live with our dining room table being homework central until we convert the trundle bed to a bunk.  (I'm not quite ready for my 6 yo to be up top yet.)  For some reason, my preschooler starts on Sept. 5 and my 2nd grader on Sept. 6.  There is a mountain of half-labeled school stuff in our entranceway.  :smileyhappy:  Tomorrow I'm off work for my traditional special end of summer  "date" with my 2nd grader, going to his first Broadway show!  I think we finally have a solution to our violin practice dilemma--got little brother a toy guitar with actual strings that he can mess with while my older one practices.  (He's been rushing his brother trying to grab the "guitar".)  We just started violin in July, hopefully he's enough in the habit to handle it once homework starts up again.

P.S.--Anybody good at siggies? I'm sitting here talking about a homework-doing, violin-playing second grader, and look at the babies in my siggy pics! Definitely need an update!

We start back next week too! The boys are super-excited. Today is meet the teacher at middle school for Kolby, so we'll drop his supplies off.

We still haven't gotten Riley's teacher assignment, which is a bit concerning.
