You could get some delicious cookies for the spec teacher and some lovely oatmeal, prune, and arsenic cookies for the general teacher. LOL

I think it is fine for you to not do anything for his classroom teacher.

It's a shame that anyone has a teacher like that. They should all be helpful, caring people who are deserving of appreciation. I think it's fine to just recognize the teacher you do appreciate.

Does your PTA do anything for them? Ours tries to do something each day that week - a jar of granola one day, flowers one day, etc.

We don't do anything for teacher appreciation week. The pto has an annual lunch at the end of the year for the teachers but we've never done a gift for teacher appreciation. Xmas and end of the year and that's it and with Liam's team growing I'd be broke if I did. I do like the special Ed and his OT and pt much better the general Ed teacher do so she gets a way more generic gift. If feel awkward getting for 1 not both u can always go cheep and thoughtless for her and put more attention to the other.

As a general ed teacher, I hope that you won't mind me chiming in here. I am so sorry that your son (and you) have had such a horrible year with his general ed teacher. I'm not sure os the exact details, but ALL teachers should be in the profession for the well being of ALL children. As a gen ed teacher who teaches inclusion, I always strive to do my best with the different larning styles of all kids that are assigned to me. Education isn't generic. If your sons teacher isn't doing this,
